2011 - HRH The Princess Royal, co-president of the Scotland Malawi
Partnership compliments Jim
Rae on the great work his charity
is doing in Malawi during the ‘Scotland and Malawi: A New Model of
Inter-national Development’ event held in Edinburgh March 16.
January 2011 - Following Jim
Rae's recent visit to Malawi 4 videos from various villages have been
compiled to highlight success stories and other issues as follows:-
1 Mwalija
village - highlighting poor sanitation habits
2 Chagawudyu village - where last
year the cholera outbreak began now receiving clean water
2 Katemalinga village where the filter removes iron from the water
making it purer as well as safer.
3 Handing out cups in Katemalinga to encourage villagers to drink water
only from the filter.

October 2010 - Chagwawudyo village in Southern Malawi installs
a STAG water filter unit. The clip opens with a young child operating the
pump demonstrating
ease of use for anyone to access the unit's clean water. A source of
contamination - manure on the fields - and the benefits of clean water
are described.
The clip ends with the villagers celebrating. Please note the unit can
be used next to any water source. Feel free to pass on this
video link. Report also in Dunblane
